:: Personality :: Friendly, adaptable, and action-oriented. Gil is a "Doer", living in the here-and-now, he's a risk-taker who lives a fast-paced lifestyle. Impatient with long tasks, he prefers to find his own way to achieve things faster. Extremely loyal to his peers, but not usually respectful of laws and rules if they get in the way of getting things done. Rules and laws are more like guidelines for behavior, rather than mandates. However, Gil has his own beliefs of what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to those principles. Rules typically hold little value to Gil, but his own integrity will not let him under any circumstances do something which he considers wrong.

Gil's intuitive side is somewhat weak. He is impatient with theory, and sees little use for it when a situation demands action. Gil always questions his instincts, even though they are often right, and is suspicious of other people's intuition, but he knows that choices must be made, and is ready to deal with consequences. Gileas is spontaneous and holds excellent ability to quickly improvise an innovative solution to the problem at hand, but has more trouble dealing with situations that tend to drag on.

As time has gone by Gil has matured, and though he still remains obsessed with taking action and achieving results, he has learned that patience should not be ignored. He has tempered himself and acts with more respect to danger, making sure that when he takes action, the results will favor him.

He is caring and protective, valuing his his friends highly. He acts politely and kindly towards others, and though he does not often know how to communicate his true emotions, he does his best to let people know he cares.

Gil spent most of his life on the dangerous Brettia island being raised as the runt of the litter by a family of Slayer Killers. After failing to train under his father as a gladiator, he then chose to pursue the path of a mage, and began an apprenticeship with his mother. Under the training of their mother Gil and his sister were on the path to becoming powerful mages. Things changed when Gil's mother became ill and passed away. His sister left the island to resume her training and Gil decided to become an Herbalist, swearing that he would protect his loved ones. He grew older surrounded by struggle and conflict, his family's constant quest to free Brettia from slayers came to a tragic end. After a great battle, only his Sister Sylla and his brother Stader survived, together they decided to leave Brettia now that their home was in ruin. 

Gil resumed his training to become a powerful mage and enrolled himself into a university in Leune. While there he trained under  Luminary Era, he earned the title of Cleric. After being granted to access to Era's private greenhouse, he was able to graduate early with a degree in Healing Magics, and a minor in Combat Magic. Shortly after his graduation, the first of the great Slayer invasions happened and Gil eagerly accepted the call to arms. It was then that he came to know the dangers of combat and just how vicious slayers could be first hand. The battle taught him a great many things, as well as the acquaintance of the Luminary Cain.

After the attack Gil became a traveling merchant, one day during his travels he was attacked by a large pack of wild Roth. Being weakened by the experience Gil faced his first great defeat.  Injured and weak, Gil traveled to Elysion in hope of finding rest, but as luck would have it he fell right in the middle of a Slayer attack. Helpless he watched as a village was slaughtered by a pack of slayers, barely escaping himself, only because Era came to his rescue. He isolated himself for a time, distancing himself from others. He faced his weakness now more than ever, and it caused him great pain and anger.

When Tyrim was attacked, Gil was recruited to help with healing the injured. He was kept in the back lines, healing from a distance, watching as soldiers and civilians were killed by the Slayers he feared and hated so much. He became used to the idea of death, and for the first time, he pushed himself to fight alongside the people he was supposed to protect. Gil experienced war and came close to death on several occasions. After Tyrim was saved, he was finally able to cope with the loss of his family, and a great burden was lifted from his shoulders.

After Tyrim Gileas became a mercenary, working alongside those who needed a healing hand. He became strong and learned to face his fears. He travelled all around the world, and was even reunited with both of his distanced siblings. He followed this pattern for a long time. When the slayer infestation occurred he took up his magic and fought against a great deal of the infectious Slayers. After the ordeal Gil was summoned by the military, word of his efforts had reached them and he had been invited to join the army, to his surprise the invitation had come from the Luminary Cain Reshalt himself.

On one of his first missions Gileas was separated from his platoon during a storm. Later that night he was attacked by a pack of slayers, but with no one coming to his rescue, Gileas fought valiantly for his life. All his work up to that point had now paid off, and after unleashing a new power, he claimed the title of Bishop for himself. He has been away with a special taskforce for a long time, but now he returns more prepared and ready than ever to fight against the Slayer threat.
